THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
The 2024 Greyhound Supporters annual picnic was a huge success! We had an amazing turnout with lots of hounds, their owners and community supporters. There may have been a bit of rain today but that didn't stop us from having fun! Greyhound Supporters would like to thank the following people and businesses. They really helped make this event pawsible.
Thank you to:
1. Our volunteers for dedicating their time and donating bake sale goodies
2. Our supporters for braving the rain and always showing up for the hounds
3. COBS Bread Kanata South Bakery for donating delicious hot dog buns and scones
4. Our vendors: Kasco's Kollars, Epic Seasonings and Knit Knack
5. Yasmin Nissim - alumni extraordinaire who sold and autographed copies of her new book
6. Eric Sellka for donating a beautiful wooden handcrafted elevated food stand
7. Everyone who donated various sighthound items and raffle items
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Yes. We’re having a picnic and it’s going to be Saturday, September 7th. We’re really looking forward to seeing you and your hounds – it’s been about a year since we’ve last had a get-together.
We’ll have a BBQ, raffles, contests and a couple of vendors for your shopping pleasure (please remember this is a cash only event).
The whole yard is our off-leash area, so all hounds are welcome to be off-leash throughout the duration of the picnic. However, muzzles are mandatory so please ensure you bring your hound’s muzzle with you. If you’ve not already signed a Hold Harmless form, there will be forms available. You don’t need to bring any x-pens unless you want to be able to segregate your hound. You should bring chairs or a blanket to sit on though. We also ask that you be sure to pick up after your hound.
Entrance to the event is through the double gates into the backyard, but please check through the gate window to make sure the other gate is closed before opening the front gate. Parking is on the street.
Admission: $5.00 per person
Please note – this is a sighthound (greyhounds, galgos, salukis, lurchers) only event so we ask that all other canine companions not attend.
We look forward to seeing you in September.
